Hey everyone! I know I have been gone for a loong time, I hope you have all been well! The last few years have played havoc on my art life, as I’ve had two kids, and time and sleep have been scarce. My daughter is now one, and I’ve been scraping by little bits of time to make art again for the past six months. I think I’ve made real progress though! I’ve always felt a bit dissatisfied with a lot of art I was making, like I’d come up with a good idea for a painting I’d be technically satisfied with, but just lack motivation to see it through. So I’ve been spending a lot of time finding what actually inspires me and how to dig art from those inspirations. It’s still a work in progress, but expect to see things that come from nature, a vintage vibe and watercolor and ink. I’ll be working on posting up stuff I’ve been working on in a bit! Stay safe and healthy all!

I feel like a total dork in social media in general, so at this time I'd just like to add a big thank you to everyone for watching, it means a lot to me! As a little update on what's up, I'm continuing my personal project of which is the first completed piece. 4 more pieces in the same vein should follow during January. I'm super happy to be trying out something totally new and diving into traditional media, I was starting feel really stuck in my work for some reason. I've been blogging a lot about the progress I'm making, so head over there for any progress shots and musings! In the game frontier Sproggiwood is making steady, if slow prog

I started a series of posts about art books I like over at my blog. As the first installment I'm listing all the art books I loved or wished I had when starting out. Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards Drawn to life by Walt Stanchfield vol 1 and 2 The Weatherly Guide to Drawing Animals by Joe Weatherly The Practice and Science of Drawing by Harold Speed Drawing Lessons from the Great Masters by Robert Beverly Hale See the post for individual run down of the books, and why I think they are great.

Just one more Happy Birthday from Hungary till your next visit.
Keep up the great work even outside of DA. ;)

Thank you! I can't believe someone still remembers me over here! Also, I'm sooo old now! I'm trying to update my DA to more current stuff now, promise!

That is good to hear. :)

Sadly without DA's Birthday notifications I can't keep up with people anymore, but you just keep up the awesome work till they add it back! :D

Oh no, what will I look forward to then! Honestly the new layout has been a bit of a shock, I have trouble finding anything. Let alone the mobile app, like why does the feed never refresh? But yeah, I’m trying to be back over here, and actually upload new work. It seems like I hate my entire gallery now, and want it to dissapear. So I guess I better refresh it with new stuff asap.
I'm back again so Happy Birthday from Hungary once more. :)
Hope things are going well in life and just keep up the great work even outside of DA!
Oh no, now I've missed it. Sorry for being late, but still Happy Birthday from Hungary again and hope this'll make you smile as well. :)
Hope to see those new art one day, but until then I just wish you and your boy all the best IRL. ;)
Well it's been over a year now, but still one more Happy Birthday from Hungary in case you get back. ;)
